Designed by Jagoda Ziółkowska for a family of three, this space is a harmonious dialogue between the historical genius loci and sophisticated contemporary design. The classic character of the interior is highlighted by traditional gypsum plasterwork—decorative cornices and ceiling medallions painted in matte shades, which create a sculptural backdrop for modern furnishings.

The Heart of the Home: Kitchen and Dining in the Spotlight

The main axis of family life is a spectacular living area where functional boundaries seamlessly blur. The eye is instantly drawn to the masterfully designed kitchen. Here, the architect made no compromises—both the cabinet fronts and carcasses are crafted entirely from premium wood. The monochromatic, light-toned cabinetry is broken up by the deep aubergine hue of the kitchen island, which coordinates perfectly with the traditional, geometric floor tiles.

Right alongside is the dining area, featuring a large table and iconic chairs with Viennese cane webbing. Nestled beneath the original plasterwork, this space naturally opens up into a bright, sun-drenched living room, subtly demarcated by a classic architectural arch.

A Private Sanctuary Rich in Textures

The private quarters of the apartment are an oasis of tranquility where sensory textures take center stage. In the master bedroom, the walls are adorned with a large-scale, vintage botanical wallpaper depicting a tropical garden. Paired with olive-green velvet drapes and ceiling plasterwork, it creates a boudoir-like, incredibly cozy atmosphere. The layout also includes a perfectly tailored children’s room and a separate, spacious walk-in wardrobe that ensures the apartment’s clean lines remain completely clutter-free.

Retro-Style Bathing Salon

The bathroom brings to life the dream of a home SPA with a retro twist. This spacious, light-filled interior accommodates both a freestanding bathtub and a comfortable shower. The gorgeous, deep teal hue of the sculptural vanity unit blends flawlessly with the marble countertop and a sophisticated, arched mirror that echoes the geometry found throughout the entire residence.
